Last Friday, March 6,09 , like everyone in Philippines know, Master Rapper Francis "Kiko" Magalona succumbed to his illness from leukemia.
I remember I was watching Eat Bulaga's portion, "Sa Pula O Sa Puti" when I heard the news. The kontrapelo was about Energy FM vs 90.7 Love Radio. Tawang-tawa pa nga ako sa kanila nun eh then biglang they called for a commercial break.
I thought it was a breaking news by Flash Report or may technical errors na nangyari kasi kadalasan ganun naman yun kapag mga shows ng GMA biglang pinuputol. Then nung bumalik na yung Eat Bulaga, nagtaka ako kasi ung set ng SPOSP[Sa Pula O Sa Puti, well just to make it short], biglang nawala. Then sila Vic Sotto and the whole cast of Eat Bulaga[except for Joey de Leon kasi nasa backstage siya nun eh] nagkumpol-kumpol sa center. I can't believe my ears when I heard Vic Sotto said these lines,"Para sa lahat ng nanonood ng Eat Bulaga, ikinalulungkot po namin ipaalam...that Francis Magalona....passed away this...12 noon."(the dots I placed were the pauses he made while saying this.)
Hindi talaga ako makagalaw nun. I mean tulalang-tulala ako. It was unexpected. Kasi ang last news ko sa kanya, he was doing his chemotherapy very well. Then biglang, wala na siya? I can't believe it.
Well about the title of this post, yes. Yes, I'm lucky to have a little conversation with him before he passed away. See these screencaps for you to believe it.

Ako yung blackplayer and the one with a pic/avatar of a microphone was the one and only, Mr. Francis Magalona. I was asking kasi about Jose's Chicken Inasal para sana ihahanda namin for my 16th birthday. I found his site by typing "Jose's Chicken Inasal" in Yahoo! Search. [Akalain mo yun, website pa ng artista ang nahanap ko sa kaka-inquire about the resto?] He answered my first question and after that, no more replies from him. I admit, I was quite dissappointed kasi feel ko parang nai-snob ako. Few days after our conversation, I found out sa news that he was diagnosed with leukemia. Parang napag-isip-isip ko, baka he was too busy or not feeling well while checking his multiply kaya di na niya nagawang mag-reply sa mga posts ng mga tao sa website niya [hindi lang kasi ako yung hindi niya na-replayan, madami pang ibang multiply users.] That conversation with him was not too much important, but just realizing that now he's gone, It made me feel lucky that I had the chance to have a little chat to a very special person like him.
(And guys, I just want to share something. The night before he passed away, March 5,09 ,around 11pm, I was told by mama to lock our main door. Then when I opened the door[dalawa kasi yung doors namin magka-patong], it smelled some chinese incense[tiam hiu, that's what they call it on chinese]from a chinese funeral. Nagtaka tuloy ako, wala naman kasi malapit sa amin na nagi-incense. So, what's that? o_O.........)
To Mr. Francis Magalona, thank you for the opportunity that you gave me a chance to reply to my questions even once in a while, sorry because I misinterpret you, and you will be missed by everyone who knows you and idolizes you.
